About St Andrews Links Trust

St Andrews Links Trust is the body, formed by an Act of Parliament in 1974 to be responsible for the management and maintenance of the historic Links at St Andrews. The Trust is a registered charity (Charity Registration number SC006161). The Trust has three wholly-owned subsidiary companies, St Andrews Links Limited, St Andrews Links Golf Shops Limited and The Castle Course St Andrews Limited. The registered office address for all four entities is Pilmour House, St Andrews, Fife KY16 9SF, Scotland.

Basis of Transactions

This website is hosted and operated by St Andrews Links Trust (the Trust).

The Trust is responsible for and acts as principal in the sale of all rounds of golf on the Old, New, Jubilee, Eden and Strathtyrum courses. Bookings for The Castle Course are facilitated by the Trust as disclosed agents on behalf of The Castle Course St Andrews Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Trust, which acts as principal in the sale of such rounds.

Sales of official merchandise carrying the Trust’s logo are facilitated by the Trust as disclosed agents on behalf of St Andrews Links Golf Shops Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Trust, which acts as principal in the sale of such products.

The Trust may also act as disclosed agents for other 3rd party Principals in respect of other supplies of goods and services facilitated from this website. These Principals may include preferred suppliers and partners of the Trust.

Utilisation of Profits

All profits earned by the Trust’s wholly-owned companies are remitted to the Trust under Gift Aid arrangements and are applied to the preservation and maintenance of the historic golf links at St Andrews. Any fee income or other profits derived by the Trust from other 3rd party Principals hosted on this website will also be applied towards the preservation and maintenance of the historic golf links at St Andrews.

St Andrews Links Golf Shops Limited is owned by St Andrews Links Trust, the organisation established by a special Act of Parliament to be responsible for the golf facilities including the Old Course at St Andrews Links. All the items sold on this website have been authorised and approved by St Andrews Links Trust and carry the official logo of the Trust. All of the profits derived from this site will be applied to the preservation and maintenance of the historic golf links at St Andrews.

We promise that if any St Andrews Links product purchased online does not meet with your approval for any reason, you can return it in saleable condition and in its original packaging within three months of the purchase order for an exchange or a full refund. Every care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions and specifications on this website are correct, however while the colour reproduction is a close representation, a slight variation in actual goods may occur.

Golf Shops Terms and Conditions

A contract between the customer and St Andrews Links Golf Shops Limited for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted and processed (at which point the buyer’s credit card will be charged for the value of goods despatched, plus postage where appropriate). This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights. Our goods are provided to customers on the basis that title will not pass until a period of three months has elapsed since the items were despatched. This term applies regardless of the method of payment used in relation to the goods. St Andrews Links Golf Shops Limited cannot accept liability for a failure to comply with specific instructions stated in the garment, catalogue, or website. This statement does not affect the customer’s statutory rights. We accept most major credit cards. Our website will endeavour to display all items in our current range. We try to hold stock of all styles and sizes while a product is in the range. Prices and availability of goods are subject to change without notice. A delivery charge will be added to your order value, please see Delivery below. Goods purchased on the website can be returned to us for a full refund or exchange within three months of the date of purchase, as long as they are in a saleable condition. If the goods are subject to import duties and/or taxes for overseas orders, these costs will be solely borne by you Security We go to great lengths to ensure the security of your orders and all orders are transmitted over a secure connection. Our online store is maintained on a secure server and no credit card details are stored on our systems.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please do not hesitate to return it at your own cost, within three months of your purchase date. Enclose a reason for return, a copy of the receipt, the order number, your name, address, a daytime telephone number and an email address. Exchanged items will be returned to you in the timescales detailed in "Delivery" above.
