2011 Father and Son Tournament winners22/04/2011

The 2011 Father and Son Tournament was won by Per and Mikkel Hansen from Vancouver BC, Canada, by the narrowest of margins.

A fantastic approach to the last hole at the Old Course, St Andrews Links by Per resulted in a tap-in birdie and an aggregate total of 154 points over the four rounds. This matched the total set by the Father and Son Tournament veterans, Geoff and Paul Irons, only moments earlier.

With the scores tied, the result was decided on a count back over the last 36 holes (the scores at Kingsbarns and the Old Course) where Per and Mikkel prevailed 81 - 80. Needing a birdie on the last to tie the Hansens and Irons, the Italian pair of Enzo and Gregory Sicignano could only manage a par to finish one point behind in 3rd place.

The 2011 final result was as follows:

1st - Per and Mikkel Hansen (Canada)

2nd - Geoff and Paul Irons (South Africa)

3rd - Enzo and Gregory Sicignano (Italy)
