Five of the St Andrews Links courses have been included in the first ever Golf World Top 100 Courses in Scotland poll.
The quality of golf on offer at the Home of Golf attracted widespread praise from the magazine’s panel of experts and led to three of the courses finding their way into the top 30.
The Old Course is ranked third in the poll with the seventh course at St Andrews Links, The Castle Course, placed 18th. The New Course (pictured) is in 28th position. Rounding off the list for the Links is the Jubilee Course at 53 and the Eden Course at 67.
Euan Loudon, Chief Executive of St Andrews Links Trust, said, “This is welcome recognition for the courses. Our greenkeeping teams work hard to ensure the courses are maintained in top class condition throughout the year and we try to match that by delivering an excellent experience in our clubhouse, practice and shop facilities as well.”
