The practice rounds for the St Andrews Links Trophy got underway today on the Old and Jubilee courses. A strong field of international players, including six from the top 20 in the R&A World Amateur rankings, have gathered at the Home of Golf for the prestigious event which starts tomorrow.
The Championship will be decided by strokes over four rounds of 18 holes each. Competitors will play one round on the Jubilee Course on Friday 4 June and Saturday 5 June. The 40 lowest scores over these 36 holes, and any tying for 40th place, will qualify for the final 36 holes to be played over the Old Course on Sunday 6 June.
