The finals of the 2010 St Andrews Boys’ and Junior Ladies' will see Thomas Rowland face Calum Hill and Emma Harris take on Olivia Jordan-Higgins on the Old Course this afternoon.
Thomas Rowland won the first semi-final by 2 and 1 against Christopher Howard of Manchester. The 17 year old from Prudhoe in Northumberland has been leading the way since he won the scratch medal for the lowest score in the qualifying round earlier this week. 14 year old Calum Hill from Tantallon in North Berwick (pictured) defeated his opponent, Cameron Farrell from Cardross, by one hole to become the last Scottish player in the tournament.
In the Junior Ladies' Open, Emma Harris knocked out the scratch medal winner in the qualifying round Rebecca Wilson from Grange in Monifieth with a 2 and 1 success. In the other semi-final local favourite Lauren Whyte from St Regulus exited the tournament against an imperious Olivia Jordan-Higgins who won by 6 and 4.
