Preparations are well underway for the reopening of the Tom Morris Golf Shop in St Andrews at the end of April.
The shop was acquired by St Andrews Links Trust last year and has been closed for several months while restoration and renovation work on the premises was carried out.
Tom Morris founded the family business manufacturing hand made golf clubs and Gutta Percha balls in 1848. He opened the premises in St Andrews 18 years later, at what is the oldest golf shop in the world.
The newly reopened shop will retail merchandise and apparel bearing the Tom Morris crest and will include a display area highlighting the extraordinary career of the four-time Open champion.
