"The new green fee on the Old Course more accurately reflects its international stature and consistently excellent condition. It remains good value when compared to courses in a similar league, both locally and nationally, and in relation to top courses around the world," said Alan McGregor, general manager of the Links Trust.
The New Course was ranked in the top 50 courses in the UK by Golf World while the Jubilee Course is hosting the British Mid Amateur in 2003 and is a qualifier for the Amateur Championship in 2004.
Mr McGregor added: "The other two championship courses, the New and the Jubilee, remain exceptionally good value, given their growing reputations and quality. Keeping the fees for the remaining courses unchanged maintains the broad price range on the Links and encourages golfers to choose the course most suited to their ability."
High season period tickets giving access to all courses except the Old will be £110 for three days and £220 for seven days. A new 14 day ticket for all courses except the Old is also being introduced. The adult price will be £395 and for under 16s will be £195.
The additional revenue generated by the new green fees will help finance the development of the 7th golf course, which is needed to meet the rapidly increasing demand to play the Links.
