St Andrews Links Trust has passed its reassessment for Investors in People (IiP) with flying colours for the third time.

"The Trust was praised for being an organisation which actually lived IiP rather than paying lip service to it. This reflects everyone's efforts to ensure the organisation is well run and managed with effective procedures in place," said Alan McGregor, general manager of the Trust, which is responsible for the largest public golf venue in the world.

The Links Trust was first awarded IiP in 1998 and is re-assessed every 18 months to ensure it is still meeting the required standards for management, especially of its staff. It employs around 190 people permanently, and a further 50 seasonal staff between April and October.
