New shuttle bus for the Links08/04/2003

Friday 4 April saw the arrival of a Links Shuttle Bus operating between the Links Clubhouse, the Golf Practice Centre and the Eden Clubhouse. The purpose in providing the service is to enable golfers, and others, to travel from one side of the Links to the other without having to take the car. This applies particularly to golfers who wish to use the Golf Practice Centre before their round on the Old, New or Jubilee courses, or who wish to play a second round on a course on the other side of the Links.

The service is not restricted to just golfers, it may also be used by people wanting a meal in either clubhouse or to visit the clubhouse shops or the shop behind the 18th green of the Old Course.

From the Links Clubhouse the 12-seater bus travels to the home end where it sets down/collects passengers at the British Golf Museum opposite the path to the Caddie Pavilion and the first tee of the Old Course.

It then proceeds via Golf Place and the Guardbridge Road to the Golf Practice Centre to set down/collect, and then to the nearest point in the Eden car park to the Eden Clubhouse to set down/collect.

It then does the journey in reverse with the same stops.
