A 7 handicapper, Prof Morrison has been a member of St Andrews Golf Club for over 30 years and is a member of Crail Golfing Society. A founder of Fife Athletic Club and past-president of the Scottish Athletics Federation, he is Professor of Software Engineering and Head of the School of Computer Science at the University of St Andrews.
Professor Morrison lives in St Andrews and replaces Dr Duncan Lawrie who came to the end of his three-year term as a Trustee on 31 December 2004.
Councillor John Simpson, Provost of Fife, was re-appointed for a further three-year term by Fife Council.
The Trustees now comprise Alastair Dempster (Chairman), Sir Menzies Campbell MP, Fiona de Vries, Peter Forster, Cllr Frances Melville, Cllr John Simpson, Robin Waddell and Professor Ron Morrison.
