St Andrews Links Clubhouse, which serves the Old, New and Jubilee courses, is set to offer a new dining experience in the New Year.
The Swilcan Restaurant and lounge will be converted into one dedicated lounge and dining area, creating an extra 30 covers and offering a new uninterrupted view over the Links.
Ewen Bowman, clubhouse operations manager at St Andrews Links, said, ‘For 13 years the Links Clubhouse lounge has served us well, proving popular with golfers, locals and the general public. However, queuing has increased and feedback suggests modernisation of this area would be a welcome move.’
The work will begin on the 5 January 2009 and is expected to last between six and eight weeks. During this time there will be no food and beverage service and the first floor toilets will be closed. The rest of the clubhouse will be unaffected.
