It was a great day for the visiting team as the USA won both sessions by 2-1 to take the lead at the end of the first day's play in the 35th Curtis Cup. Amanda Blumenherst and Stacy Lewis both scored two points. Sally Watson was the only British player to gain a maximum return. Local girl Sally won with Scottish team mate Michele Thomson in the morning and then with fellow Fifer, Krystle Caithness, in the afternoon.
