Work began on the West Sands development yesterday. The improvements includes the reconstruction of the road that runs between St Andrews Links and West Sands.
The project has been funded by Fife Council, St Andrews Links and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. Gordon Moir, Director of Greenkeeping at St Andrews Links, said, "It is one of the busiest areas in town and it is right that it is upgraded for visitors and locals coming to the area."
