Applied Golf Technology

Applied Golf Technology (AGT) was launched in 1997 to provide the Scottish golfing public with a personalised custom fitting, clubmaking and club repair service second to none.

From the outset our goal has been to actively seek out and evaluate new technical developments in the golf equipment industry, identifying game improvement and performance enhancing features which can be incorporated into our club fitting and clubmaking programmes. Our team of equipment specialists have been trained to a very high standard in order to provide a top level service at the academy's Custom Fit Centre.

We cater for all golfers, from beginners to advanced players, irrespective of age or ability. Playing with properly fitted golf equipment makes the learning process quicker and easier for beginners, whilst elite players use our specialist services to optimise their equipment for performance at the highest level. AGT currently provides full equipment support to the international players from the Scottish Golf Union, the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association and several well known European golf professionals

Our Technical Director, Ed Robertson, is widely recognised within the Scottish golf industry as a leading equipment specialist. He has written numerous technical articles for Bunkered, Scotland’s leading golf magazine.

In 2006 AGT was appointed by St Andrews Links Trust to provide custom fit services at their prestigious St Andrews Links Golf Academy. In this state-of-the-art facility we work very closely with Steve North, director of instruction, to provide a comprehensive programme of world class instruction and custom-fit services unmatched anywhere else in Europe.
