Golf Practice Centre re-opens following the Open

St Andrews Links Golf Practice Centre will re-open on Saturday 14 August at 7am following the removal of the Open infrastructure from the landing area. The short game area is open as normal and coaching and custom fit services are available.

This comprehensive facility for practising driving, iron play, pitching, bunker play and putting is open all year round. Whether warming up for a round on the Links, or simply tuning up your game, a visit to the Practice Centre is a must.

  • Open every day from 7am
  • Last golf balls are dispensed at 8pm
  • Become a regular and buy a Smart Card. 20 buckets of 50 balls for £50; or 10 buckets of 50 balls for £27.50.

Practice Bays

The driving range has over 60 bays, including 22 indoors, and a landing zone which is over 400 yards long. All mats are air cushioned, and five bays include the Power Tee automated system.

There is short game area, which includes a replica of Road Bunker, and a putting green, once the second on the Eden Course and regarded as one of the finest in St Andrews.

Charges

Adults: 100 balls £6.20; 50 balls £3.20; 25 balls £1.80.

Senior Citizens: 100 balls £5.60; 50 balls £2.90; 25 balls £1.60.

Juniors (under 18): 100 balls £3.80; 50 balls £2.00; 25 balls £1.00.

Smart cards giving twenty units of 50 balls can be purchased for £50. 45 minutes at the short game area costs £2.00 and use of the grass tee area is £3.50.

The Golf Practice Centre also houses the St Andrews Links Golf Academy and a custom fit studio.
