Shop Tom Morris

The Oldest Golf Shop in the World

In October 2010 St Andrews Links acquired Tom Morris Ltd and began a renovation process to bring Old Tom’s shop back to life.

The renovation took over six months and during the work several exciting discoveries were made. Artefacts belonging to Morris himself were discovered including his original workbench in the shop window where he made golf clubs and balls, the fireplace where he heated and shaped gutta percha balls and what is believed to be his locker where he stored his clubs.

These items form part of a display area in the shop celebrating the achievements of Morris as a golf champion, a pioneering greenkeeper and course architect, a club and ball maker, a family man and a businessman.

The Oldest Golf Brand in the World

The Tom Morris logo included on our merchandise is adapted from the original logo, as used by Old Tom himself. Dating back to 1848, it is believed to be the oldest golf brand in the world.

The logo we use today has evolved for use across a range of products and recognises the importance of St Andrews in the rich heritage of the life of Tom Morris.

The full range of Tom Morris golf wear is available at 8 The Links, St Andrews and a selection is available from our online store.
