Information
Order of Play
The draw for rounds 1 and 2 will be prepared week beginning 6 May. Round 1 will be played on the Jubilee Course on Friday 7 June and Round 2 will be played on the Old Course on Saturday 8 June.
Registration
Competitors are requested to register at the Tournament Office, located in the portacabins on the Bruce Embankment near the 1st tee of the Old Course from 9.00am - 5.00pm on Thursday 6 June 2013.
If you are unable to register on Thursday 6 June, please telephone the Tournament Office on 01334 466725 to confirm your participation and then register in person in the Tournament Office prior to play on Friday 7 June.
Each competitor will receive a sponsor’s gift and an information pack at registration.
Tournament Practice Area
The Tournament practice facilities will be located at the tournament end of the Golf Academy, near to the Old Course Hotel. This practice area is for competitors only. Long and short game practice facilities will be available in this area.
The opening hours will be:
Wednesday 5 June 11.00 am – 7.00 pm
Thursday 6 June 6.00 am – 7.00 pm
Friday 7 June 6.00 am – 7.00 pm
Saturday 8 June 6.00 am – 7.00 pm
Sunday 9 June 6.00 am – last tee time in Rd 3
Car parking will be available and balls will be provided.
Practice Rounds
The Old Course and Jubilee Course are available for courtesy practice rounds on Thursday 6 June. The Jubilee Course will also be available for courtesy practice rounds on Wednesday 5 June from 1.10 pm. Practice rounds are for competitors only. Competitors should practice from tees as instructed (back tees/medal tees) with a maximum of two tee shots on par 3 holes.
Any practice rounds prior to Wednesday 5 / Thursday 6 June may be arranged in advance and normal green fees will apply (Old Course - £155, Jubilee Course - £70).
Barbecue Evening
The Committee of the St Andrews Links Trophy would like to invite all competitors to a pre-Tournament complimentary barbecue to be held at the Eden Clubhouse on the evening of Thursday 6 June from 6.00 – 8.00 pm. Additional barbecue tickets will be available at £17.50 each. Dress is smart casual. Car Parking
Free car parking for competitors and officials is available in the car parks situated by the St Andrews Links Clubhouse and the Eden Clubhouse.
Shuttle Bus
A courtesy shuttle bus will operate between the practice facilities, the 1st tee of the Old Course and the 1st tee of the Jubilee Course beside the Links Clubhouse. Timetables will be available at registration and also at the Reception desk in the Links and Eden Clubhouses.
Caddies
Competitors may use their own caddie (PGA Professionals are permitted to caddie) or if you wish to request a local caddie, please contact the Caddie Manager on caddiedept@standrews.org.uk (+44 (0) 1334 466633). The caddie fee is £45 plus gratuity.
Yardage books
Professional yardage books will be available to purchase at a cost of £5 for each course from the Tournament Office, the Links Clubhouse Reception or the Caddie Pavilion.
Trolleys
Manually operated wide-wheeled trolleys will be available free of charge from the Starters and Caddie Pavilion. There is a limited supply of battery powered trolleys and they may be pre-booked through Janet Finlay on linkstrophy@standrews.org.uk for £15 per day. Please note they will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Clubhouse Facilities
The Links Clubhouse and the Eden Clubhouse are available for use by competitors. A £1 payment (which is refundable) is required for the individual lockers.
Dress
All golfing apparel must be clean and smart and conform to the standards of good taste normally required by most golf clubs. The wearing of jeans, denim trousers, shorts and collarless shirts is not permitted.
Play

Competitors are expected to acquaint themselves with the local rules - these will be distributed at Registration, together with information on pace of play.

Pin positions and scorecards will be handed out on the 1st tee.

Disputes or doubts may only be referred to Officials and members of the Organising Committee. In particular, rulings on the course may only be given by Officials.

Please play without undue delay as disciplinary action will be taken against persistent slow play offenders.

The Specimen conditions in the Rules of Golf are in effect as regards Driving Clubs and Conforming Golf Balls.

Distance measurement devices will NOT be permitted during tournament play.
Scorecards
On completion of play in each round, competitors should ensure that their scorecards are correctly completed and signed.
Accommodation
Competitors are responsible for making their own arrangements for accommodation. It is recommended that competitors make reservations as soon as possible. Presentation of Prizes
The presentation of prizes will take place as soon as possible after close of play on Sunday 9 June on the 1st tee of the Old Course.
