The Old Course in Reverse 2007

Golfers please note that advance reservations for the Old Course in Reverse 2007 have been taken up. Further tee times will be available through the Old Course ballot.

Today the 600-year-old course is played in an anti-clockwise route but in the days of Old Tom Morris it was played clockwise, starting on the 1st tee and driving towards the 17th green, then driving from the 18th tee to the 16th green and so on around the course, bringing a different set of hazards into play.

The Old Course will be set up in reverse for three days in 2007– Friday 30 March, Saturday 31 March, and Monday 2 April. Golfers who wish to book in advance have a choice of three options for a two-round package of the Old Course and either the New Course or the Jubilee Course. Three-round packages, allowing golfers to play the Old Course in both directions, are also available.

All bookings are subject to availability. VAT applies on commercial bookings.

Option 1: cost £200
Wednesday, 28 March – Old Course normal
Thursday, 29 March – New Course or Jubilee Course
Friday, 30 March – Old Course in reverse

Option 2: cost £120
Saturday, 31 March – Old Course in reverse
Sunday, 1 April – New Course or Jubilee Course

Option 3: cost £200
Monday, 2 April – Old Course in reverse
Tuesday, 3 April – New Course or Jubilee Course
Wednesday, 4 April – Old Course normal
