St Andrews Links Trust

Visitors are recommended to book early by contacting their chosen accommodation provider as demand for the package is very high. The Winter Package is avilable to individual golfers only. The Winter Package is not available to Tour Operators.

This unique offer gives visiting golfers the chance to play three rounds on St Andrews Links, including a guaranteed round on the Old Course, and enjoy accommodation in Fife.

The package also includes two other rounds to be played on two of the following Links courses: the Jubilee Course, the New Course, the Eden Course or the Strathtyrum Course (subject to tee time availability).

Visitors will receive a £15 catering voucher for the Links or Eden clubhouses.

The cost for the golf component only is noted below. Individual accommodation providers can advise on accommodation prices.

20 to 31 October 2008: £175 per golfer (fully booked)
1 November to 31 December 2008: £120 per golfer

There is a minimum requirement of two players per tee time. One round of golf per group per day is allowed. At the time of booking, players’ names, golf clubs and official handicaps (maximum 24 for men, 36 for women) must be provided. Reservations can be made on the Old Course Monday to Friday inclusive and for the other courses Sunday to Friday, subject to availability.

How to Book
To make a booking, the lead golfer in your group should contact your chosen accommodation provider in Fife and advise them of the dates you would like to book. Any accommodation provider in Fife may book the Winter Package.

Once the hotel has booked your accommodation, they will contact St Andrews Links Trust to book the golf on your behalf. St Andrews Links Trust will then send you an invoice detailing the golf booked and requesting full pre-payment. The completed form should be returned to the address provided, or you can contact St Andrews Links Trust directly by phone with payment details, quoting our booking reference number. Payment can be made by credit card or personal cheque made out to St Andrews Links Trust. Please note that we can only accept credit card details from the credit card holder, and no payment can be taken from any third party or commercial concern. Once paid, green fees are non transferable and non refundable, except in the event of the courses being closed by the Trust due to adverse weather conditions.

Trolleys cannot be taken on the Old Course between November and March. Trolleys can only be used on the Old Course after 12 noon between April and October. If caddies have been requested and are not available, trolleys may be hired before 12 noon between April and October for £3. Trolleys can be used on all other courses throughout the year.

Fairway mats will be in use on all courses 3 November - 31 December 2008

Golf Academy Introductory Course
This offer is exclusive to participants in the winter golf package. During the 2007/08 Winter Package, golfers can also book a lesson with a PGA Professional at the St Andrews Links Trust Golf Academy, which will help enhance their enjoyment of links golf.

The course is called ‘Prepare to Play the Links’ and includes 2 hours of instruction, using the latest digital and video technology, enabling golfers to hone their skills whilst playing at the Home of Golf. Coverage: the long and short game
Filming in the studios with the latest technology
Extensive use of the short game area
Use of training aids and golf balls during the lesson

Prices are: £25 per golfer when booking 4 golfers
£35 per golfer when booking 3 golfers
£50 per golfer when booking 2 golfers
£100 per golfer when booking 1 golfer only
