Old Course availability 2010

This unique offer gives visiting golfers the chance to play three rounds on St Andrews Links, including a guaranteed round on the Old Course, and enjoy accommodation in Fife.

The package also includes two other rounds to be played on two of the following Links courses: the New Course, the Jubilee Course, the Eden Course or the Strathtyrum Course (subject to tee time availability). Golfers will receive a £15 catering voucher which can be used at the Links, Eden or The Castle Course clubhouses.

The cost for the golf component only is noted below. Individual accommodation providers can advise on accommodation prices.

1 to 31 January: £130 per golfer
1 February to 31 March: £155 per golfer
1 to 18 April: £185 per golfer
18 to 31 October: £190 per golfer
1 to 30 November: £130 per golfer
1 to 31 December: £120 per golfer
The Castle Course: Surcharge of £28 per golfer per round (April, October and November only)

Any accommodation provider in Fife can book the Winter Package

• There is a minimum requirement of two and a maximum of 16 golfers per application
• There is a handicap limit for the Old Course, which is 24 for men and 36 for ladies
• Reservations can be made on the Old Course Monday to Friday, and for the other courses Sunday to Friday. The Castle Course can be booked any day.
• Fairway mats are in use on the Old Course 1 January-31 March and 1 November-31 December 2010. Mats are in use on all other courses1-29 January and 1 November-31 December 2010
• All bookings are on a first come first served basis, and are subject to availability.

The Package

One round of golf per group, per day over three consecutive days. The package cannot be booked if the Old Course is unavailable.

For packages including a Saturday, the New Course can be played by checking in with the Starter on a first come first served basis on the day; a 24 hour booking can be made for the Jubilee, Eden or Strathtyrum by calling 01334 466666 early on Friday morning. Alternatively, the package can be played over four days with no play paid for on the Saturday. If booking this option, any course played on the Saturday will require the additional green fee to be paid to the Starter.

Trolleys cannot be taken on the Old Course between November and March. Trolleys can only be used on the Old Course after 12 noon between April and October. If caddies have been requested and are not available, trolleys may be hired before 12 noon between April and October. Trolleys can be used on all other courses throughout the year. The hire fee for a manually operated trolley is £4, battery powered trolleys are £12.

Buggies may be taken on the New, Jubilee and Strathtyrum courses by senior citizens (65 years and over) and golfers with a medical certificate, subject to availability and weather conditions. The hire fee is £18.

Caddies are available for all courses. Request a caddie.

Golf Academy Introductory Course

This offer is exclusive to participants in the winter golf package. During the 2009 Winter Package, golfers can also book a lesson with a PGA Professional at the St Andrews Links Golf Academy, which will help enhance their enjoyment of links golf.

The course is called ‘Prepare to Play the Links’ and includes 2 hours of instruction, using the latest digital and video technology, enabling golfers to hone their skills whilst playing at the Home of Golf. The course includes: 2 hours instruction at the academy with one St Andrews Links Golf Academy Instructor

Extensive use of the short game area

Prices are: £25 per golfer when booking 4 golfers
£35 per golfer when booking 3 golfers
£50 per golfer when booking 2 golfers
£100 per golfer when booking 1 golfer only
