Tee Shot
Length off the tee determines the direction of the tee shot, as the sprinkling of bunkers down the right rough and the single bunker at 211 yards in the left rough dominate thinking. The modern hitter would be wise to play right. The strong player must be careful of two bunkers at 275 yards.

Approach
This is dominated by the large depression front left of the green which gathers the ball. From this side of the fairway, the golfer has a good lie and a reasonable chance to get the ball near the pin. Being long is not a good option as the rough is penal behind the green.
