Par 4/5
Medal Tee: 411 yards
Ladies Tee: 375 yards
 |
Dyke
The dyke is the old wall which forms the boundary between
the Old Course Hotel and the 17th fairway.

|
Tee Shot
The drive is blind from the medal tee, but less so from further
forward. The right of the fairway holds the threat in the
form of hidden bunkers (200 yards) and savage gorse. The percentage
shot is to the left of Cheape's Bunker.

Approach
The position of the pin in relation to the pronounced diagonal
ridge will dictate tactics. If the pin is on the left hand
side you will not see the bottom of it. You will then have
to pitch the ball short of the green and hope it runs on.
If the pin is on the right you will have to be careful of
the hazards on that side.
