For one man the official opening day of The Castle Course was made doubly memorable after he struck an albatross at the par five eighteenth hole. Billy Eyster of Birmingham, Alabama, hit his ball home from all of 247 yards with a 21 degree hybrid. 'It just kept on going, and then it disappeared,' he said. Of the course, he praised it as 'really enjoyable with some of the prettiest holes you'll ever find' and placing it in the same category as Pebble Beach.
