Links festive arrangements

St Andrews Links Trust has announced the arrangements that will be in place for golfers and other visitors to the Links on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Christmas Day
No bookings can be made for Christmas Day and there will be no ballot for the Old Course. A starter will be on duty on the Old Course on Christmas Day and a ranger will be on duty across the rest of the Links.

Both the Links Clubhouse and the Eden Clubhouse will be closed on Christmas Day.

Boxing Day
The Old Course ballot for Boxing Day will take place on Saturday, 23 December.

Starters will be on duty on all courses on Boxing Day. Tee time reservations on all courses, except the Old, can be made by calling 01334 466666 on Boxing Day morning from 08.00. Alternatively, golfers can turn up and play in the next available slot.

New Year’s Day
The Old Course ballot for New Year’s Day will take place on Saturday, 30 December. The day ahead booking system for all other courses will operate as normal for New Year’s Day.

There will be no food and beverage services in either the Links or Eden clubhouses on New Year’s Day but staff will be at reception and the locker room facilities will be available.

The golf practice centre will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The first starting time on all courses during the festive period will be 08.40.
